SINOPSIS

Sally Hurst (Bailee Madison) es un niña solitaria y retraída que acaba de llegar a Rhode Island para vivir con su padre Alex (Guy Pearce) y su nueva novia Kim (Katie Holmes) en una mansión del siglo XIX que está siendo restaurada. Mientras explora la descuidada propiedad, la niña descubre un sótano, abandonado desde la extraña desaparición del constructor de la mansión, hace cien años. Pronto la joven descubrirá que debajo de la escalera viven unas extrañas y siniestras criaturas... Guillermo del Toro coproduce este remake de la producción televisiva homónima estrenada en 1973.
